	Pack your storage space carefully. Protect fragile goods with packing, bubble wrap or other cushioning material and place near the top of the storage space.			Take apart large items such as beds and tables to maximize usable space. Wrap parts in protective material to prevent damage.
	Try to use the same size and shape boxes when possible - this makes it easier to stack them.			When taking apart items for storage, keep all small parts in a sealed bag and tape to the item.
	Do not store flammable or toxic fluids in your storage unit.			Always leave a walkway for easy access between stacks of items.
	Use all the space available, including the height, and place frequently used goods near the door.			Make sure to use space inside drawers and trunks.
	Label each container or box clearly on all sides with its contents. Try to avoid "miscellaneous" labels - sometimes it's easy to forget just what you put in those!			Treat metal items with protective sprays and oils to prevent rust.
	Consider using clear storage tubs so you will easily find what you need.			When storing appliances, small vehicles or machines, make sure to drain fluids.
	Small open containers of charcoal briquettes may help control moisture and odors.			It is not a good idea to store food in units, as this may attract rodents or insects.
